Seeing the Sunrise

As I sit at my desk this morning, I look out the window over my left hand shoulder to see the sky slowly moving from dark gray to muted yellow. The mountains in the distance seem surreal – they line the horizon so perfectly, like something out of a picture book. If I listen closely, I can hear the birds chirping in the distance and I watch as the sky lights up with the glow of the sun. I’m fascinated by such a small, natural phenomenon that happens each day and that has happened every day for the last 27 years of my life. But here is the message this morning, “You will never see the sunrise, never appreciate the beauty and majesty of the world awakening, if you don’t get out of bed.”

I love to sleep and many days I would rather feel the comfort of my bed than to rise early, but today gives me a whole new perspective.

You will experience amazing things if you are willing to get a little uncomfortable.

What are you missing out on simply because you are unwilling to get out of your comfort zone?
